Sneak Peek at New Fiction Coming for Subscribers!

Hello! If you haven’t signed up to my short fiction subscription yet, you’ll want to before June 1st.

Why?

Because the next set of short fiction for subscribers contains not one but two stories and a poem! And one of those stories? Quite literally introduces a new world I’ve not previously published anything in.

But I promised you a sneak peek. So let’s get to that 😁

Sneak Peek #1

There was once a cat who sat under a cherry tree in bloom, contemplating the flowers.

“Do you suppose,” she said to no one in particular, “That they knew what they were when they were tightly wrapped buds? Or do you suppose they only felt claustrophobic, confused as to why the space they used to occupy now hurt for them to live in?”

Sneak Peek #2

I had a bird ready to fly
Instead, it died
The neighbourhood cat
—out, damned Spot!—
And blood all over the porch

So I’ve washed my hands
Feathers draining down the sink
And I can only think
(Out, damned spot)
Did I kill it?

Sneak Peek #3

A mote of dust falls through the black.

Black everywhere, all around, nothing to be seen, nothing else but this single speck.

It lands.

On what?

It isn’t clear, but the mote stops moving, comes to rest.

And, from where it rests, it begins to gleam.

The only light in the surrounding nothing.

The only thing in existence.

To find out what happens next, you’ll have to subscribe 😇

Which is to say, for as low as $5 a month, you’ll get brand-new fiction to enjoy at the beginning of each month.

And now is an especially good time to sign up, because that new world I’m introducing? There more coming that’s set there, and it is cool as heck.
